This section includes information on current Sider implementation and our plans for the project. In a way it is a supliment for Sider development documentation.

All of the design pages are subject to change and we will probably change them often.

Part of the design is captured in issues with our issue manager.

Project vision

We believe information can be simple with the right tools. So far we found very few programs that feel just right in our specific scenarios. In most cases we end up wishing that something would work differently for the program to be tailored to our needs and our way of working. Instead of adjusting to what it can do we want it to fit the way we do things.

We're tired of waiting for programs to appear that would work the way we like to organize our notes, projects, contacts and so on. We're creating Sider to meet our specific information needs and needs of other people.

Sider is an application to organize, edit and maintain your information the way that makes the most sense to you. It is very flexible. Anything that doesn't feel right can be changed; anything that's missing can be added.

Features

Sider features describes our ideas for the platform, some already implemented, but most are just ideas at this point. We add one feature at a time, picking the one that we think is the most valuable for the users.
